So I had my first lesson last night, with Mick Fridley.  Mick was amazingly friendly.  You never know what to expect when you go to a complete strangers home..and seriously..I was going to a Banjo players home, and there were no cars on blocks, tubs in the yard, chickens, pigs or moonshine stills (at least visible..lol)

I was impressed with Mick's attitude and personality.  The fact that Mick is a veteran and has family members currently serving says alot to me..I am a Veteran of 12 years and work with disabled veterans..Big Kudos' to Mick and his family..  

I started learning some basic chords..G, C, D, Ef..and it is my  goal to practice these for the coming week.  It is great to have someone there to tell you simple things like, where to place your hand, or how to wear finger picks..I am really gonna enjoy this!
