Was taught in school on the Violin, although I haven't picked it up in decades....Self taught guitar, banjo current (work in progress) and own a mandolin. Would love to be good at all of them, but then who would pay the bills? haha. I can find my way around a keyboard, too.

Well,
It's been almost a year since my first jam. I've been going to a local, monthly jam as often as I can and I tell you, from a beginner's standpoint, it starts off terrifying, but as you get use to it, not so much.
I've been getting more comfortable with the players and types of music they play, and I jump in on breaks now and then. I've even started a song once or twice! This is definately fun!
Thanks for all the banjo pickers out there who post videos of the songs they play, professional and beginner! It helps a lot to see what people are doing or trying to do.
