hello. my banjo was taken from the land i'm living on in candler, nc this past friday while i was out running errands and i just wanted to put the word out in case it somehow turned up in anyone's circles. it's a five string open back banjo, galax model, made by bart reiter of lansing, michigan. ebony fingerboard, mahogany neck, star on the fifth fret and headstock, scooped neck, two spikes for the fifth string, brown-stained maple rim. it was in a black hardshell case lined with burgundy velour and inside there was an electronic tuner, a capo, one brass fingerpick, a yellow/green shoulder strap, and a khaki-colored, thin, striped button down shirt tucked in the pot. the serial # on the banjo is 3087. if you see this banjo around please do not purchase it. please let me know asap, or contact the buncombe county sheriff here in north carolina. it was a present from my folks a couple of years ago and i don't have the money to purchase a new one right now. i have a show coming up in july so i'm hoping it turns up by then. the shirt inside was also deeply sentimental for me and it sometimes feels like a greater loss than the banjo. thanks for your help.
