New Pics & Temporary Solution

Tuesday, April 07, 2009 @4:09:04 PM

I've added a few pictures to my Photos section. These pics (and others) were taken by B Beaird.

The show was filmed for TV broadcast and will be edited into a one hour show, along with some of the interview the program host did prior to the concert.

I don't know how much of the banjo set will make the finished program, but I'll post a bit of video from it, if it all works out. I enjoyed the folks in Shreveport and they loved the banjo - I told them it was locked and loaded - armed and dangerous - and that I'd be playing some in the second set. They all came back. Brave folks!

Notice the homemade Texas flag decoration on the banjo head. One day I thought the flag might look good on my head, so I got out my pocket knife, carved the design and painted it up with model paint. I figured if it worked, I'd do it right sometime.

That was 18 months ago, proving there is nothing so permanent as a temporary solution!
