Getting back into the swing . . .

Friday, May 06, 2011 @6:03:50 AM

. . . is harder than I thought it might be.  I'd largely lost use of my right arm for a few years there, drastically cutting down my banjo time.  Eliminating my guitar time. But I did pick up the mandolin, the one instrument I could play somewhat comfortably.  Since August I've been getting stronger and have made friends with my guitar again,  Hello old friend.  The banjo I've been afraid of.  Oh I play it, but my chops, my poor chops!  Didn't I have chops at some point? I recall having had chops.  I don't know how to get to Carnegie Hall, but I know I need to spend a lot more time with all my stringed friends.
