why don't I change strings more often?
Sunday, May 23, 2010 @5:31:12 AM
Met a guy last week and will likely play with him sometime this coming week. Yesterday it occurred to me that my everyday axe (Bart Reiter standard) might be sounding a little flat -- now is that any way to play with a new friend? So I changed strings. My word. I really need to change strings more often. My wife, who is training herself to ignore the sounds of banjo music, noticed the difference.

Why change strings when what you really need is A NEW BANJO!?
Your wife, surrounded as she is by noise, should pick one of them up and accompany you. Tell her that until you realize how horrid the sound of a banjo played by others is, you will never give it up! That should motivate her...lol

She didn't tell you to put the old ones back on? Mine would have. Yee Haw
