commin' along

Sunday, December 14, 2008 @11:59:00 PM

well, i finally got my tone ring back after having a friend braze it. put a skin head on tonight and it is drying now. hope it is not too tight. ill see tomorrow. if its ok, ill string it and see what it sounds like. i will also post finished pics.

i also have the parts to finish the 5 string, which i will do tomorrow. suppose to be a good day to stay in and do things like this. wind chill of up to 40 below! yuk!

i also picked up a 5 string resonator banjo. i will be posting pics of that as well. anyone heard of the "light crust doughboys"? this is a 75 year comemorative banjo. looks like an asian banjo but it is pretty and will get me started on lessons.
