New Scott Avett Open-Back Banjo!

Tuesday, May 07, 2013 @6:58:44 AM

I'm excited to have just completed a very interesting and unique banjo that was commissioned, and designed, by Scott Avett!  It's most striking feature is its inlay - the peghead shows a woman's face, bathed in light, holding a branch of flowers, a feather and a passion fruit, while the fretboard contains numerous symbols including a skull and a rose.  There are some pics here on my banjohangout page and also on the Buckeye Banjos web site and Facebook page.
