alan munde on board

Wednesday, December 05, 2007 @11:39:43 AM

Now that I have retired from teaching at South Plains College and finally gotten fully moved in with my wife in the beautiful hill country of Texas, I have a bit more time to spend being in contact with the banjo community.

I have only retired from the college; I have not retired from trying to make beautiful music on the banjo or from making a living.  To that end I am playing with my own group, Alan Munde Gazette - we had a wonderful and busy summer schedule - teaching a few students here locally (Wimberley is about 45 miles south and a bit to the west of Austin), recording and other musical enterprises.

I look forward to paticipating when I feel I have something to offer.

Thanks,

Hi Alan, welcome, (what took ya so long?)  I have taken a starting class in Portland Oregon from Mike Stahlman, he used your beginning book. I really like that book, still am trying to get all of the songs down. You lessons are helping me alot!

So, hello from Oregon, and again, welcome!
