Huber Raffle Winner and Fundraiser Results
Monday, June 23, 2008 @12:04:20 PM
Hi Everyone,
Steve Huber just emailed me to say they drew the winner of the Sam Calveard Benefit Huber drawing: it's (drumroll please...) Scott Hicks from Culpeper, VA! Congrats, Scott--that's one sweet banjo!
Also, we raised $17,540 for Sam Calveard's kids, which is great! Thanks to everyone pitched in to make this benefit raffle a big success! |

Congrats to Scott (I'm insanely jealous!), and all the money for a good cause, too! |

That's the 3rd raffle this month that I didn't win! |

I'm happy to have been a contributor to that final total and a big thank you goes to Huber for putting up such a lovely prize for the benefit. Eric, let's keep doing benefits like these. I will certainly participate in the next benefit raffle. Maybe Stelling or another high-end manufacturer would like to front the prize for us! |

Well, the winner is a lucky guy. The kids who are getting the benefit of the money raised are not so lucky. Great job with the fundraiser! |

Well put, Gibsonhound. It's a bittersweet event, but that does not detract from Mr. Huber's generosity, which paid off well. I would have preferred to win, but was more happy to see the final number and to realize that my odds weren't so good. Hopefully, this helps the boys along. Kudos also to the BHO for coordinating this effort. Eric, you have made a mark on this music that is immeasurable. |

A warm and hearty well done to the winner of one of Mr Hubers finest.
Likewise to those who have contributed to this most worthy cause.

Let's not forget Steve Huber who made and contributed that terrific banjo. Thanks, Steve! I was happy to contribute my few bucks but I am devastated that I didn't get that banjo! |
