Now accepting Paypal (again), new shirts, discount codes, and more

Wednesday, November 04, 2009 @4:27:39 PM

Hi Folks,

A member alerted me to the fact that the site wasn't accepting Paypal payments, and I realized we had temporarily disabled them a few weeks back, and never re-enabled them! Anyway, Paypal payments are back, so you can make donations and purchase BHO merch using Paypal.Wings Shirt

Also, the new long-sleeved "Wings" shirts have arrived, and they're cool! I'll try to get some real-life photos of them soon, but in the meantime here's a mockup of the front (click to see the back).

I continue to cut prices on "closeout" items (merch that I don't want to stock anymore for one reason or another) so get the deals while they're hot! Once these items are gone, they're gone. Check out the Closeout page for the list of closeouts. (I would particularly recommend the 1/4 zip microfiber fleece pullover--these are very comfy shirts, warm, and great quality--I've been wearing mine proudly for a couple years now, and I've marked them down to only $18 so that's a steal!.)

Just in time for the holidays, we've implemented a new shipping system, so all USA orders get shipping tracking numbers emailed to you when your order ships, so you know when to expect it. This one's been a long time coming, and my poor wife, who does most of the shipping around here, certainly appreciates it.

Lastly, here's a discount code you can use thru the end of this week to get 15% off your merchandise...I'm only going to put this one in this blog entry, to see how many folks read this and take advantage of it!

Discount code (which you enter on your cart page) is: blogger

Just had a look around your catalog. Noticed the prices. Seems to me like you penalize fat people. The larger sizes cost more. Is that because there is less demand for the larger sizes?

I would also like to see a regular BHO (full zipper) windbreaker (I'm not going to be picking when I'm wearing it). I would suggest the hat color tan, with the back of the windbreaker having the "I Pick so I grin" artwork by Don Jolley on the back of the breaker, with the Banjo Hangout on the left front where the shirt pocket would be.

That and a coffee mug with the BHO union logo on it (Yellow mug with black and yellow logo).

I charge more for large sizes because they cost more to produce. More fabric=more cost.

Even though other companies don't have similar issues. I'm okay with that- the lard a$$ed fatties are bigger- so they pay more. Like normal society. You're fat so you're a loser. Lotsa fun to be had with that.

I still stand by my suggestions with regards to having a windbreaker (as described in the prior post) and the Yellow coffee mug with the black and yellow logo.

But that's just my opinion. No one really listens to me anway.

I'm concerned. I placed an order- paid via paypal. But nothing... no transaction receipts or history has shown up.

I see your pending order, DW, but I don't see a payment from Paypal in our account. That would explain why you haven't received anything...I'll email you.

Must be a problem on the Paypal end then. Much thanks.

As for the price being more for larger shirts, I can attest to that. My husband and I have a graphics company and we purchase our shirts directly from distributors, then print them. They charge us $1.00 more per shirt for anything above XL and above 3X is $2 more. Not saying you don't believe Eric or anything, just letting you know that what Eric says is totally true here. More material does cost more. Most retail stores can afford to sell all their sizes at the same price because they have such a huge markup and tons of stock, small fries like my company cannot afford to do that so we just charge the customers who get the bigger sizes the extra we get charged.

Hello there. I went to order the fleece pullover (as you suggested), a polo shirt and one of the long sleeve T-Shirts. I didn't read far enough down to learn that the 'blogger' discount was no longer valid. No problem but when I went to check out the shipping charge was $15. Isn't that a little steep for a $51.00 order? *lol* Please say it aint so. Seriously - have a great weekend.

pilot70d--I updated the shipping charges for the polos, so now the cost is $11.50. Hope that helps!
