Is this going to be the month my life changes 4-ever?
Tuesday, July 03, 2012 @3:55:15 PM
My wife and I are 36 weeks pregnant this week so just a little bit left to go and we are in the final stretch. Next week is the last ultrasound and we start weekly fetal monitoring and doctors checkups until the big moment. We are hoping and praying that we will find him in a good position during the ultrasound and have a 3D picture of him if we can!
My "in utero" son is in excellent condition and is very healthy and progressing normally...he is a very active baby with a strong heart beat and the doctor said an active baby is a healthy baby. My wife however would beg to differ, she has a sore back, her feet swell up and cramp, she cant sleep, she is having fluctuating ups and downs, nervousness, she feels off balance because of her tummy being sooo large. We noticed however though that her belly has begun to drop ( the doctor told us about two weeks ago that the baby was in the head down position.
Its funny that my sons due date "August 6th 2012" is the same as his fathers...yep "thats me!! My mom checked and confirmed that I had the same due date...August 6th 1974. And what was the result? I came 9 days later so my birthday is August 15th 1974. Less than 3% of babies are born on their due dates with the rest coming between either 10 days before or up to 10 days "after" so its possible that he could be born on my birthday or right around it!! Or my wife could go into labor tomorrow.....only God knows! My sister and my dad share the same birthday....weird huh? Well we will see what happens......almost there!!!

Thanks Torben and Keith....its an exciting yet nervous time for us to be honest...but we feel very blessed and we definately love our little boy. My wife and I are both in our late 30s so we feel like we are ready for this! |

E YOu got it right...the day that changes your life forever. I remember that day like yesterday...but it was almost 32 years ago. Now my son has a son, and that really is GRAND! Enjoy, and all the best to your family!

Start doing some sleeping now before he gets here. : ) There's a tune on the Hangout called I Wish My Baby Was Here, a nice little claw hammer tune, I'm sure you could play it for your little sweety to make him come on the right day Erik. I hope all goes well for you all. Jane |
