He is impressive Sarah... I don't know if you remember a while back when I was asking to use your pretty chord progression, but I was going to combine that with the lyrics from a tune that I'd heard Greg and the Deadly Gentlemen do called "Roll Me, Tumble Me". I actually performed that (using your music, THANK YOU) at some solo performances, but I couldn't convince my band to to do it and we never ended up recording it. Not because of the chords mind you, but more because of the unorthodox spoken word hip hop vocals that the other band members weren't that enthusiastic about.... oh well...
probably had something to do with they way I played and rapped it though too ;)

"Roll Me, Tumble Me" was a huge hit at Wheatland (actually his whole show was)....catchy tune for certain. I love Crooked Still and really enjoy his music in that group but I have to say I was caught off guard by the "Deadly Gentlemen". They were so fun~!!! Took about three songs for most die hards to relax and give their style a chance but they won the whole crowd easily and it was great. Talent wise.... it was insane~ :)
cool!! I think the only clip of "Roll Me Tumble Me" that I can find on youtube is from that Wheatland show you went to... you might have been at one of their very first shows
I've seen Crooked Still a couple times, but I'm dying to see Deadly Gentlemen

My band got a chance to play with them a couple times this summer, once in Kentucky and a couple times in CA. We had a blast! Great music. Great people.

Wow! that's awesome snapjackson... make sure if you're ever touring with them again that they stop by the Baltimore DC area at some point ;)
