New Hides in-stock. Goat and Calf

Friday, August 24, 2012 @3:19:07 AM

I just received a large supply of new hides including plenty of great looking natural goatskins and a few that are bleached white.

I also now have un-bleached (Mottled) calfskins.  Here is the first of the calfskins mounted today:

Nice photo John....I love the goat hide I got from you. Put on the Bacon, looks and sound great. I am glad you are doing this......great idea and very helpful. I have installed a lot of skin heads in the last 15 years, but this is much easier, and well worth the money. I am new to goat hide, Love it so far......Thanks, Bill

Thank-you Bill. I just started using goat hides a few months ago myself. I like them a lot and now have them on most of my banjos.

David:

I just mounted a calfskin that is completely translucent. It hs almost no white at all. It seems like a very sturdy hide ...bet it will sound great. I might try that one on one of my banjos.

When you get the just right skin let's mount it on the SSS when I see you in September. David E.
