I wanted to play the banjo in 1964 at the age of twelve, but my parents got me a guitar instead. That started me playing music, and the banjo came a couple years later. I've been playing ever since, sometimes as a solo act, but more often in a group. After giving up performing in 1981, I got back into a group in 1993, and have been playing out at every opportunity ever since, now playing in several groups. I am also editor of the Adirondack Bluegrass League Newsletter.
