My Instruments: Reiter Regent Whyte Ladye, Reiter Standard , Gibson Depression era (1927)resonator banjo, No Name circa 1900 thin rim and rolled brass TR with Nylagut strings tuned down a fifth or so, Nechville Atlas...my wife's actually.
Favorite Bands/Musicians: Banjo players who play in a style or styles (both up and downpicking)and sound recognizably personal compared to the "generic Clawclone sound" that is becoming the default setting for a lot of OT banjo playing. Special thanks to Franklin George for putting me on the correct path years ago.

Not very interesting. I like all forms of oldtime banjo, not just clawhammer. I'm not too good at "jamming" per se, because I tend to over-analize things so I like to come up with highly personal arrangements of my tunes and songs. I'm learning to play the fiddle which has made my ear for old time music better than it has been. I don't care for "notey" Missouri fiddle tunes; and Missouri fiddlers, post-WWW-II, didn't seem to care for old time 5 string banjo.
