My name is James Stiltner.....I play banjo, mandolin, and lead guitar in "The Johnny Jackson Band". My grandfather, Johnny Jackson, plays rhythm guitar and sings lead....my grandmother, Edith Jackson, sings lead and tenor......and my wife Cindi plays bass and sings lead/tenor.
I used to post on here a long time ago under the name "renofan", but decided to change it to a username closer to my own actual name and not be pigeonholed to any particular playing style.
I'm a truck driver and welder part time, owner of CJ Heating and Cooling, and working musician.
I'm the banjo instructor at the Appalachian Arts Center in Cedar Bluff, VA.
I also have a corporate sponsorship from Fender to promote their banjos, in particular the FB58 Deluxe model that I play on stage and in the studio.
I love boxing and baseball (GO SF GIANTS!).
