I started playing in 1995 and the learning and teaching journey goes on. I was lucky enough to have jammed and learned a lot with one of the country's finest banjo players and who is also one of the country's finest banjo builders, Jeff Kramer, owner of CloverLick banjos. I also studied banjo in West Virginia, Wisconsin and Michigan.
Our entire family is musical and I invite you to visit my son's page at maxtemple.net. He doesn't play banjo (yet) but I proud of his work. My oldest son Luke is an amazing composer and classical pianist. Lucky me, my husband also plays guitar and bass and joins us all at times in our music.
Please contact me if you'd like to take banjo lessons, either 3 finger or clawhammer. I can often be found playing on Saturday afternoons at Common Grounds in Spearfish, SD. (Visit them on Facebook too. The owner, Cory, is a great music supporter.) If you would like lessons by Skype, let me know and I can also work this out with you.
