I am a fiddler and guitar player at heart but I also love playing Banjo...my favorite tuning is Double C tuning. I play clawhammer style and really only care about traditional/oldtime/folk music with respect to playing.
The reason I am on here is because I am looking for a banjo player for my band, Southern Missouri Stringband (SMS) in which we play Traditional/Oldtime/folk music. I live in the middle of a imaginary triangle that runs from Springfield, Ava, and Branson. I am looking for anyone who is able to play clawhammer. I would prefer them to be able to sing as well. We can learn the tunes but the style of clawhammer is manditory. I do not do the three finger roll/scruggs style in my band.
Would love to hear from you even if it is just to figure out more information.
