Just got back from our traditional October camping trip. Took the wife and kids to FDR state park, just a 40 min drive from the house. It was like pulling teeth to get things ready, car repairs, camper repairs, etc etc-----------but it was sooooooo worth it! 5 days 4 nights of no TV, no cell phones, no work etc.---------lots of great food (Im getting better and better with the dutch oven every trip---excellent food, no one loses weight on my trips!) We spent alot of great time together as a family, hiking, sitting around the campfire, eating, etc etc. Its not easy to put these trips together, but the time spent is priceless! I brought my banjo and had several very neat moments sitting by my self, playing banjo, taking in the beauty of the woods. all in all, it was an excellent trip, and I feel like a new man! (until I have to go to work tomorrow!)
