...ran my third marathon, and my second Stockholm Marathon. My goal was to finish in less than three hours, but I guess the heat got to me (it's always nice to have a good excuse, right?). Still, I set a new PB by one and a half minute at 3.06.00 and finished in 311th place out of 18500 participants. My last PB was from a "flat" and cool race in October, so I'm really proud of today's work. The Stockholm Marathon course is a pretty demanding one with a mean bridge that the runners pass twice, but on the positive side it's a spectator's race with thousands of cheering stockholmers and tourists. Also on the positive side I didn't have any "issues" during the race (apart from the heat) such as feet problem, stomach pains or vicious attacking fluffy dogs. So I guess I'll have to keep running and break that three hour wall in a race this fall, perhaps. Right now I'm watching the Giro and having a Jever Pilsner...OK, make that two. Cheers.
