My Instruments:
Morgan Monroe MGB-1, with extensive modifications done on it. It is a fair picking banjo for the $ amount in it. First banjo was a 1950's Gibson RB-250. Second banjo was a Gibson pot, with homemade neck. Third banjo was a parts banjo, with Gibson ring, homemade neck, and who knows what kind of rim, flange etc. My first one was the best one I ever had, my dad got it for me, then we used it to get my first good mandolin that I had.

Other instruments- A-9 Gibson mandolin, two years old, sweet sound. F-5 Gibson Jam-Master mandolin, awesome Bluegrass cannon ! less than 5 months old, sounds like it's 50 years old already, wonder what it's going to sound like when it quits being green, and stops thinking it's a tree, but a mandolin ? I know I'm gonna like it, because I already know it's the best mandolin I've ever held.
Blueridge BR-140 guitar, 4 years old, D-18 sound alike, good guitar for the money
1966 D-35 Martin my dad's guitar that I will have back in my possesion by the end of next month.
Looking ahead will be getting a Don Bryant built she-bracket 5 string banjer, hope fully within the next year, Don is a great guy and a great builder.
Other than these, I doubt if I'll ever get anymore instruments, just devote my time that I hope the good Lord lets me have a bunch more of picking what I have.

Sam Bush, Courtney Johnson, Doc Watson, Rudy Lyle, Joe Green, Jon Wolfe, Danny Bowers, Scotty Stoneman, Clarence White, Kenny Baker, William Smith Monroe, Ray Edwards, Don Reno, Red Smiley, bands, the original Newgrass Revival, Bill Monroe and
his many Bluegrass Boys, Reno and Smiley, the early Osborne Brothers, Flat and Scruggs 1949-1959. Hershey McMillian outstanding banjo picker, and a freind/picker/band-mate from long ago.

since I been on here. Don't even pick up a banjer anymore, too dang heavy. Waiting to get a Don Bryant built shoe-bracket with just the brass rod ring. Concentrating on mandolin now only. New band Blu-Vue, Hersie McMillian { banjo }, Sandy Bunker { guitar }, David George { bass }. Come onn out and hear us sometime, we been together about 6 months now, almost begining to sound like a band.
