The pot is a 3-ply Cox wood rim and a JLS-4 tone ring. The neck and resonator are curly maple and the fingerboard is rosewood with a classic Wreath style inlay of white mother-of-pearl. The fingerboard has a compound radius that starts at 7.5" at the nut and flattens out to 16.0" at the 22nd fret.
The fret wire is standard "medium" banjo wire and the heel cut was made to accommodate a 3/16" rise above a standard Mastertone to accommodate my particular playing style.
The bridges are hand-made from 100 year old stock rock maple and ebony that were both recovered from various sources.
The finish is a hand-applied custom mixed water stain for the base layer of color and the sunburst shading was sprayed-on using a customized solvent-neutral die concentrate that is mixed 50 drops to 2oz of a solvent containing a ratio of one part lacquer to three parts thinner.
The finish is nitrocellulose lacquer that was cured for 2 weeks then sanded flat with sandpaper that ranged from 300 to 1,500 grit, then buffed on an arbor until the mirror finish was achieved.
