From offduty on 9/19/2016 7:03:32 PM

I just purchased my first Pisgah banjo a couple weeks ago (woodchuck) and I must say "I like it a lot!!"

Anxious to hear how you like the fretboard. I have not played one with that board.

I've had my Pisgah Woodchuck for about two weeks now and it looks, plays, and sounds like a dream. I bought it pre-owned (but unused) from Spruce Tree music. It's actually the Woodchuck prototype. It differs from the production (if you can call it that) model as it has a 26" neck and a light stain. The only changes I made were to add a Tim Purcell locust wood bridge and a brass Vega style arm rest.
The fretboard is made from Richlite. If I didn't know it was Richlite I would have sworn it was ebony. It is not a resin of any kind and does not have a "manufactured" feel.
