Glad to see a Brooks Masten group, and glad to be a member.  Looking forward to hearing more about Brooks' great banjos and hopefully seeing some pics as well.

I am not a Brooks banjo owner, but his banjos really call out to me and I hope to own one one day when I am ready to make a moe on a luthier made banjo.

I've seen more than a few and they're great instruments. I don't think you could go wrong and they'll probably only increase in value.

One day I definately want to have one...but the cost here in Argentine pesos is like 5,000 pesos Argentine thats like my full months salary and half of my7 wifes combined in Argentine money!! So I am going to start saving for one!!

thats true..even thought its a ton of money for us here in Argentina...his prices are really very very reaonable! I saw a video he posted of one of his banjos without a tone ring...sounded really great. The only thing is I am not sure if I would like that 1 3/8 neck...maybe 1 3/16 but it seems awful wide to me at the nut no? My Goodtime is 1 1/4 I know that super thin....but I like it! Maybe its because I played the mandolin in the past?

I had serched for thirty years to find just the sound I wanted from a banjer. Then I got #130 and the serch was over. It's been my constant companion and I will pass it down, along with # 206 to my son when that time comes. Thanks Brooks , for two exceptonal instruments.
