Very nice work - both the design and the execution.
I'm finding banjo heads take ink superbly. The Remo ones aren't that different from what we used to call drafting vellum - in reality, a frosted Mylar that was intended to take Rapidograph ink.

Lovely design and execution. I was planning on using acrylics on mine but think I will try ink. Haven't worked with ink in years but you all have inspired me. Think I will pick up some Mylar and practice first. LOL

thanks, my husband did it. he used rapidograph pens.

Thank you for sharing, Pickinchik:-) May I add the image to our collection folders? Your husband did a wonderful job. It reminds me of vintage wallpaper design, which can be a great resource for design ideas. If anyone wants to try this who is not the best at free hand drawing, you can use painters tape to lightly tack the image to the underside of the head, place over a lightbox, and trace the design on top from there.
