Well, just got the email that the show is cancelled in Philadelphia on Oct. 19th and won't be rescheduled. I wonder what happened?

I'm supposed to see him tonight. I hope it's just the one show.

Given the price of the show, they probably didn't sell enough tickets.

The Washington DC show wasn't cancelled, but it was moved from the Kennedy Center to the slightly smaller Warner Theater. I assume because of slow ticket sales.

If I'd have known, I could have jumped on a train and caught them at Carnegie Hall last night....sigh. Hopefully, the Rangers will be in concert somewhere nearby. This "interfestival period" (like Sept. - May) is kind of tough!

Well, I suppose Montclair, NJ isn't terribly far, for both SCR and Steve Martin. I think I'll hold out for Joe's Pub in NYC, where SCR will be playing in January. It is pretty rotten, though. I actually did a search looking for other cancellations and one website (yelp.com) for Atlanta said that show was cancelled, but I couldn't find that anywhere else. Just wish someone would tell us why, and I can stop rumor-mongering. Mongering is a satisfying word.

How expensive were the tickets?

I don't exactly remember the ticket price (guess it was too painful ) but it was around $85 I think, plus the service charge.
