Up for sale is a complete set (5) of new, top quality banjo tuners by Gotoh. These are the deluxe “3 Band” model with beautiful genuine mother of pearl buttons. The shape of the buttons is replica of the pre-war design. Many auctions sites call the buttons on their pegs “pearl” or “pearloid” or imitation “pearl”. As we know these are all just some form of plastic. The buttons on these tuners are top quality, hand-made (shaped), hand matched, hand polished, hand fitted solid mother of pearl. These MOP buttons have some nice figure and flash to them (please see pictures showing both sides of the buttons). No man made materials in these buttons just natural, beautiful, solid shell.
This is a custom ordered set that is not usually available from Gotoh. These have beautiful, heavy nickel plating and 3 decorative “bands“ around the tuner. These would be ideal replacements for an older instrument that you are restoring or for a new banjo you may be building or upgrading. Nothing shows first class in a tuning machine like genuine mother of pearl tuner buttons! Now’s your chance to own a set of the highest quality tuner with genuine mother of pearl buttons. These would make a great gift for that banjo buddy! The pegs you see in the pictures are the exact set you will be buying. These tuners require a 3/8" (.374) or 9.49mm hole.
Please note that the original salesmans display box as seen in the pictures DOES NOT come with this sale. I just used it to display the pegs while taking pictures. This auctions is for a set of 5 banjo tuners (4 straight tuners and 1 5th string tuner) with genuine mother of pearl buttons by Gotoh (no box). The tuners will be very carefully packed when shipped.
