1981 Gold Star neck, mahogany with Hearts and Flowers inlay. Frets have recently been dressed and levelled and holes filled where sliding fifth capo was removed. Spikes are behind 5,7,9 and 10th frets. New Waverly tuners installed ($130.00 value). Professionally repaired break behind the nut area was done many years ago and is very structurally sound. Fret board and inlays are still in excellent condition. Plays like butter and looks good! I fit the neck solidly to great pot assembly: Tennessee 20 tone ring on a Tony Pass thin skirt, block, old wood birch rim. I am told that Tony Pass fit the rim and ring. It is an excellent fit. I had a new Saga resonator made and fit for it. The banjo sounds real good, pleasing tone. It's no slouch and probably deserves a better resonator, but it does fine with the Saga. It does real well in an outside jam. It comes with a pretty new Guardian hard case ($130.00 value). and a comfortable leather strap. Also with a compensated Beaver bridge that compliments it well.
