It could of course be just me, but I feel that it's not too easy to quickly distinguish read forum threads and unread threads. Both color types are blue and on some screens I find it hard to tell them apart. Maybe an idea is to grey out a little, the threads you have already read.

Also, if I have this right, the hangout is the only forum that I have seen that uses a bright color for stuff you have already read, and a dull color to show new threads. That is opposite common logic and opposite the standard in the rest of the computerized world
