Before the recent server brouhaha - if one were browsing without having logged in, and wanted to reply to a topic, then they would get a dialog box to log in before replying......after having logged in, however, the browser window would then return automatically to the topic to which they wanted to reply in the first place. Which was a good thing IMO.
Now the poster is brought to their home page and forced to navigate back to the topic.
Which sucks because I can't remember too well and I forget which topic I was looking at.....

You can't remember the topic of a few seconds ago, but can remember what happened two weeks ago? Hmmm. Reminds me of something, but I can't remember what it was.

I thought it was always that way.
If I come in as an unregistered user, I see active topics for the last whatever (default) period of time.
But as soon as I login, I see the the topics that were active since the last time _I_ visited (now that it knows who I am).
In other words, I don't think anything has changed.
