We used to be called "Kate and the Boys" when there were just three of us.  Now we are six (and one of the new boys is a girl) so we need a new name.  I got a number of suggestions already when I put the picture on my home page.  But someone suggested starting a new topic with it.  So here it is!

Here is a picture of us rehearsing in the kitchen.

I don't know when or even if we make our first album, but I'll send a copy to whoever comes up with the suggestion we adopt.

Cookin' Grass / Cookin' Bluegrass

BanjoG - Posted - 03/08/2012:  05:59:17

Not sure you want a kitchen theme but here are a few I had fun coming up with. As I started to post, I see Walter has the same idea.

Bluegrass Cuisine
Cooking The Bluegrass or Cook'n Bluegrass
What's Cook'n
The Bluegrass Grits (not sure if you are in the south?)
Smok'n Bluegrass
Six in the Kitchen
Breakdown Six
The Kitchen Pickers
Sizzl'n Six
Cook'n Jam
Everything but the kitchen sink
Pot Luck Bluegrass
Hot Soup
Bluegrass Stew

Good luck, it was fun.

Here's a link to 28 pages of band names, very few of which are real, and a few of which border on the obscene.

Your kitchen is big enough for a full bluegrass band! I'm jealous. Ours fits two and if we weren't married probably wouldn't want to be in there at the same time.

This is tempting, maybe eh eh "Old and In the Way" shock. Great title for a CD!

Or perhaps "Forever Young": playing music keeps you young.

Anyway: enjoy the music and the band!

On the kitchen theme, "Positive Air"

...actually that's a HVAC mechanical term... positive air lets cooking smells wift out to the dining area... keeps the bad germs out.
