I recently spotted two Gatcomb banjos to be auctioned off soon. One is a "Standard" and the other is a "Student" model. Both banjos are in nice condition, are not missing any hardware and have not been tampered with. The fingerboard on the standard has shrunk a little bit and the peg head overlay has some cracks, a couple of simple inlays were missing on one of the banjo and one had a broken tail piece.

If there is any potential interest in these banjos I will attend the sale and try to buy them for resale here on BHO.

Richard- The Standard and Student were towards the bottom end of the Gatcomb line and are the most common models to show up. These frequently sell on eBay in the $200-350 range if in good shape.

Slingerland, Thanks for thr info, looks like very little interest in Gatcomb banjos. Guess I won't bother unless they go real cheap!

Which is too bad. I just got my first banjo and it's a Gatcomb pot with a new neck and it sounds and looks great.
