Ken,

It might be better to uncheck the notation and all the other modules before putting it into a PDF so there are fewer pages to print....Jack

Thanks Jack.  I actually just had the tef file, but don't think I can use a tef as an attachment in the hangout.  So I printed it to one of those virtual pdf printers to create what I attached.  I myself will only use the tef file anyhow.  But that's a good tip.

How do you download them to a PDF with the un checks (for us non computer savvy)?

While you have the tab up on the screen in tefview, go to File/Options/Multitrack and then uncheck all the boxes except for banjo - the 2 other instruments - I think they are guitar and bass at least on Foggy Mtn. - and then all three boxes for notation.  This is what Jack Baker was referring to.  It trims out all the stuff you don't need for a banjo tab, and simplifies the visuals as well as the print job.  Also makes it easier to read if you are going to use the hard copy to practice from.

I have a program called Primo Pdf which is a virtual printer.  It doesn't print the document, but rather when you select print - once you have Primo PDF installed on your computer (it's free) - it creates the pdf file.  After you trim out the notations and unneeded instruments, you select print from the menu in Tefview, and select Primo PDF as your printer, rather than your default printer.  That will bring up a screen where you click on Create PDF.  You then have the ability to direct the destination of the pdf file before it is actually created.  Fairly simple - just follow the screens.  Once Primo creates the pdf it will actually come up on the screen.

Make sure you have Adobe Acrobat reader installed too!!  Another pre-requisite.
