Well, finally made up for some lost time. Little to no banjo or recording time in the last 2 weeks.
This is a song by a guy named Chris Smither called "Leave The Light On." It's a beautiful little folk song that he plays on guitar in open D I think. I was laying in bed wide awake one night and had the idea to do a little arrangement of this on clawhammer and guitar.
Also, I just got a new mic in the mail this week. It's the Blue Bluebird and so far I am absolutely 100% pleased with how it sounds. I'm no home recording expert, but I can tell an improvement over what I had before.
Hope you enjoy.
(recorded with Larrivee parlor guitar and Morgan Monroe OB-50)

The arrangement sounds very professional. Your banjo has the clear, mellow tone clawhammer should have.

Excellent job! I keep going back to this one for a listen. That banjo sounds amazing! This is a prime example of how you don't have to play a million notes at breakneck speed to sound great. Please keep posting....or cut a CD. I would buy it.
