If you can start the day without caffeine, If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains, If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles, If you can eat plain food every day and be grateful for it, If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time, If you can take criticism and blame without resentment, If you can conquer tension without medical help, If you can relax without liquor, If you can sleep without the aid of drugs, ...Then You Are Probably The Family Dog! And you thought I was going to get all spiritual didn't you...?

Have to admit, they have a code that you can live by.
Some days, I wish that I could sleep for half my life, too. Spend the other half eating free food.
Come hunting season though, there's work to be done.

I think you should approach "Hallmark" regarding developing a "Figmo59" greeting card series. It would be better than most of that syrup and dribble they put out. I recommend you concert with Mike, though. Brad

Does this mean we should stop cooking dinner for our dogs?

No way, man! I treat my hunting dogs as I suspect they would like to treat me. They got the usual knerbles stuff, cottage cheese, slices of oranges & tomatoes, lettuce. Loveable, big drooly, sloppy Chesapeakes. We are a pack. I am the BIG dog. That is perfectly clear to them. We live in several "caves/dens". In the beginning, they didn't understand that but now it's no big deal In human terms, we have several houses that we live in from time to time.
HUP! and away we go. They know it: right on my heels, we are all business when we move out and they know it. The smell of shotguns is a real turn-on for the dogs.
