A former Infantry Sergeant having served his time with the Marine Corps
took a new job as a school teacher.

Just before the school year started he injured his back. He was required
to wear a plaster cast around the upper part of his body. Fortunately,
the cast fit under his shirt and wasn't even noticeable.

On the first day of class, he found himself assigned to the toughest
students in the school.

The smart aleck punks having already heard the new teacher was a former
Marine were leery of him and decided to see how tough he really was
before trying any pranks.

Walking confidently into the rowdy classroom, the new teacher opened the
window wide and sat down at his desk.

When a strong breeze made his tie flap, he took a stapler and stapled
the tie to his chest.

He had no trouble with discipline that year...

for the short time that i was on active duty in the Army,
i as a first lt i had to cover for a troop inspection for a fellow officer.
the co's ofice at the time had a balcony that overlooked the troops bunk area.
so while being briefed by the co. i could look down and see the troops getting ready for the inspection.
this one troop a pfc was tieing up his boot when the lace broke.
he just pulled his boot blouse over it to hide it.
ofcoures i made a mental note of him.
about 2/3 rds the way through i came apon that troop.

gave him the useual coursery downward glance, and informed him that his right boot lace was broken under his blousing.the look of astonishment on his face was unforgetable.

i woud have givin anything that day to have been a fly on the barricks wall after that inspection.

It's much easier to staple a tie to a plaster cast than to staple it to a bare chest. Still, an impressive stunt.
