I saw JD at the 20th Annual Brown County Bluegrass Festival last Saturday in Georgetown, Ohio We chated a bit about Gibson banjos. A very friendly man. Steve Jones

We are going down this morning to spend the day and take in all the music. I would like to meet JD and maybe get a picture for my banjo case. I am excited.

Thanks for the article on MR. JD CROWE. He is a great man and Banjo picker.

And a couple of days ago this one was in the paper... about the TWO guys named J.D.Crowe
kentucky.com/2010/09/01/141559...r-ky.html
And if you were in the area yesterday you'd have seen the older Crowe on local TV... unfortunately the TV station has not saved the video for us.
Oh well... right now I'm off to Wilmore & Crowefest 2010 where I'll see him live & up close. --FG

Thanks for this story. The cartoonist Crowe used to draw for my local paper, and I've always wondered if he and our J. D. were related.
