A friend has a Fairbanks Vega Style N tenor and needs to have some idea of the value. On a scale of 1 - 10 it's a probably a 6. There are small divots in the neck, some corrosion on the tension ring and rust on a few hooks, good action, straight neck and original skin head in good condition. Typical scratches and dings in the wood. It has a five string no knot tailpiece instead of four string.
I understand that without pics it's a guess but if anyone would venture a ball park value I'd really appreciate it. The banjo is just what you'd expect from a 90ish year old tenor. Thanks so much everyone.

I'd guess $200 or so because of the condition, maybe $250. But I could be way off, so I hope someone else posts.

Hey Chip - based on your description that banjo would probably sell between $175 and $250 on eBay. It wasn't formerly owned by or played by Elvis, was it ?

I have been paying between 175 and 225 for them on ebay. The little wonder sells for a little more.
