Well the weather round here’s been so crazy
Nothing ever gets done
I don’t ever seem to finish
Anything I have begun
My darlin’s lost all sense of humor
‘Bout this half painted house that we’re in
And the neighbors who live on the unpainted side
She waits for complaints to begin
I’m sitting here play my banjo tonight
I’m watching the neighbors walk by
Half of the people they think that I’m swell
The other half wish I would go to
Grab the ladder and paint the other two sides
Some times, well I just get lazy
Even though there’s work to be done
I figure why go crazy
When me and my banjo could strum

Hey Greg, I just let my wife listen to it over the phone. When I picked the receiver back up she was laughing hysterically. Then when I asked her what she thought, without hesitation her exact words were, "We're going to Lowe's, someone needs a ladder"

Thanks for the comments guys! I couldn't resist writing this song after Jim Cissel ( KCJC69 ) told me the story of his half painted house.
