Pointless comments seem to get people's goats (but not their chickens) around here.

Locking down that other thread seemed pointless to me.
Fun-suckers seem to rule 'round here.

I wanted to brag some about the big buck I killed one time but due to the restrictions of this thread about all I can tell y'all is that he was a 12 tiner.

Roast beef, beans, cheddar cheese, & chips make some pretty strange nachos.

I don't need to look at the map. I know where I am.

It's a conundrum, ain't it?

Stick a neck and some strings on it and it's a conunjo and Mike Gregory probably has a couple of 'em

panthersquall - Posted - 08/17/2010:  14:43:15

Stop making sense.

A polymath in the Harrier jump-jet is worth two in the mangrove.

xnavyguy - Posted - 08/17/2010:  15:15:32

A mangrove met a wo-mangrove and produced a bunch of little grovers. Now I know the origin of banjo bridges.

BigMonFan - Posted - 08/17/2010:  15:24:12

You took the words right outta my mouth. Actually you didn't but you already knew that. If I misspell sum words on purpose are they still considered to be typos or since this post is pointless should I just get that thought out of my head immediately or go eat supper.

1four5 - Posted - 08/17/2010:  15:55:32

did they lock the other pointless thread to make a point?

That was a threadless point; not a pointless thread.

1four5 - Posted - 08/17/2010:  16:43:31

are you pointing a finger at the mods?

xnavyguy - Posted - 08/17/2010:  16:44:53

Manufactured in the United States of America for United States of Americans.

eagleisland - Posted - 08/17/2010:  17:59:57

So... they locked the other thread. Didn't I warn you guys? DIDN'T I???!!!!

Actually, come to think of it, I didn't.

In case anyone is wondering, the transducer type is dynamic and the frequency response is 50 Hz - 16 kHz. Hypercardioid pattern, and 250 ohms output impedance.

Just in case you were wondering.

A weather balloon a day keeps the collarbone away.

eagleisland - Posted - 08/17/2010:  18:22:55

I hate weather balloons. They give me gas.

FWIW, I have added the following post to the Rules thread, along with a recommendation to incorporate it into the sticky:

Enter Your Completely Pointless Comment Here "game":

This one isn't acatually a game. It got shuffled into this forum by worried moderators concerned about the sanctity of the "non-banjo-related" forum.

This game started as a blatant "post ho" attempt by a member who's been around long enough to know better, and the fact that it has continued to grow and prosper should be construed as an empirical proof of the Law of Unintended Consequences.

There are but two rules. First, it's about pointless comments, not dumb questions, so make sure that you comply with that.

The second rule is to make your comment pointless. Bonus points for amusing non-sequiturs are awarded - but news of same is not shared with those who've earned them.

Jaminbanjo, in that I've made numerous attempts to kill this thread and it Will Not Die, I submit that you should edit your rules sticky accordingly.

Sorry for the point. Hope it didn't damage your weather balloon.

banjoscotty - Posted - 08/18/2010:  06:02:11

A lost sea is currently residing in a cave near Sweet***er, Tn.
It remains unclaimed by whoever lost it.

edit: I didn't realize until after I posted that sweet water was a no-no when written as one word.
