Gradely's got it right. Goldtone has models they call Cripple Creek in both open back and resonator versions.

There's even a small version called a Cripple Creek Mini. It's a neat little banjo

The cripple creek model is goldtones entry level banjos there is also a CC banjitar, if I had to guess I would say it took the name from the song CC which is the first song most beginners learn so it's a starter banjo. There is the CC100, CC100R, CC100+ . They are good sounding and well made for the money it is equal to the deering goodtime models. Larry

Yup, a Cripple Creek banjo is a Gold tone. Having owned both I think the goodtime is louder and has a better tone.
