Hi all,
I have a relative in the Moreno Valley, California area who has a 1930s banjo he's looking to have restored. The banjo was played until the 60s or so, and has sat in a case since then. I'm not sure whether he wants the original friction pegs replaced with geared ones, or whether he wants a new head installed, but he is looking to have the banjo returned to playing condition.
Does anyone know a reliable banjo Luthier in the Moreno Valley area that might be able to help him?
Thanks for any suggestions!
Sincerely, Corey

One of the best banjo builders in California is Bob Flesher, in the Moreno Valley. Not sure if he would accept the job, but there's no harm is begging/asking! Here's the pertinent info:
Bob Flesher P.O.Box 9950 Moreno Valley, CA 92552 (951) 924-9888 FleshrBnjo@aol.com

Bob and Henry are good.
I live in Arizona, I count. We meet at the stateline at midnight, pass the banjo through an open window.
Restoration is not my personal niche nor interest. Please take a look at the little Washington banjo ukelele, it's birdseye maple. I get to choose which projects to work on.
Send photos.

Nice Supertone 414 and both the pot and neck appear to be in good shape. It looks as if it would only take a good setup to put it in "playing condition"... if the head is usable (and it looks like it is). It appears to have an Elite tail piece. Nice banjo.
