Not to highjack a thread, but what would a very nice one owner 1928 B&D Montana #1 in the original case bring? I am a five string player and do no know about the B&D banjos, only that they are very good instruments. A friend came to me about one he knows about, thinking I would know because I play a banjo. Any help appreciated.

Depends on whether it's tenor or plectrum. The latter bring more money as there are far less of them. Depends on it's condition also.
Banjo scams on eBay seems all the rage these days. This might be why it was removed. The Karnes Sultana IV was listed for sale on Vinnie Mondello's web site last year.
