I love to see builders who were/are players first.

Years ago I played bassoon. I owned one made by Fox bassoons in Indiana. Great instruments. One spring break my father and I drove out there to tour the shop and get my bassoon serviced. As I toured the small facility I watched as a small army of workers assembled these fine instruments. I asked the gentleman giving us the tour about these workers. He stated to me that none of them play what they are building. Most weren't even musicians.

Although I was very happy with the instrument and would recommend them highly, it's just nice to see builders who play what they build. Gives them great perspective.
