Nasty banjo is always good and you were very nasty on this cut-

Actually the main banjo that I used on that piece was the Walnut Phantom. It was not plugged in as it had no pick up attached but we did use a condenser mic and another mic about 10 feet away (and AKG-C414B) to pick up the room. I also layered the Meteor underneath it all (one can hear it in the breakdown).
Thanks for the kindred comments everybody- I know it's FAR from my bluegrass roots- But it sure was fun to record!
***Forgot to also mention that I also used the 2009 TELLURIDE ATLAS NECHVILLE on this piece as well! It was a great addition to that background texture for back-up

Whoa!
I still want to be Jon Eric when if I grow up!

Yup... my Father probably would not have "approved" either (grin)- I guess we all add to the mix of life somehow... Given different styles and textures- nothing really beats the good traditional SOLID DRIVE if the 5-string banjo!
BT- when I "grow up" (lolol) I still wanna have tons of fun with this instrument! Thanks BHO!
