I have a Penco banjo that my grandmother gave me. I know that these banjos were made in an Ibanez factory, I believe in the 1970's, but I do not know what year my banjo was made. Would anyone know how much this banjo could be worth?

I recall they were made in the same factory as Ibanez... but not in an "Ibanez factory" as such. In other words they were not an Ibanez product. The ones I remember were Gibson clones. I have no idea of value.
The Penco brand is entry level (beginner) Asian. Not sure if they were made in Japan or Korea. Banjos like this were churned out in great numbers with various names to suit a particular importer or marketer.
Penco was a brand MARKETED by the parent company of Ibanez, Hoshino Music. Im not sure what the target market was US or Europe etc. but they were for export only not Japan
Penco acoustic guitars were made at the Ibanez exclusive factory Fujigen, where all Ibanez brand instruments were made electric guitars banjos mandolins acoustic guitars everything HOWEVER Penco banjos WERE NOT made at Fujigen they were made at some other Japanese factory
This information comes from the man in charge of banjo production at Fujigen, his name is Sugimoto, he is the uncle of my partner Nick Sugimoto who also worked at Fujigen during this time
