Can this be turned for Tubaphone style bracket-band and tone ring? I don't have the dimensions for such stuff here at work...but I have a Rickard Tubaphone set at home.

Yes it can be turned for a tubaphone/bracket band configuration. We do them quite often. However this rim turned with no tone ring will hold it's own just fine.

Thanks! I have a 'no-tone-ring' banjo (Flesher) and you're right, they sound wonderful. I simply like the idea of having a Cocobolo TBP...

You are right this would make a fabulous TBP pot. Contact me off forum to discuss turning services.

Jake,
We make 8", 10.5", 11" 11.5", 12", 13" and 14" laminated rims. They are typically made up of either two or three ply's. Standard materials used.
Black Walnut Cherry Hard Maple/Curly Maple Mahogany White Oak Yellow Birch Sycamore Chechen Honduran Rosewood Cocobolo Rosewood Indian Rosewood Bubinga Bocote
I am sure I have missed a few!
I hope this answers your questions. We try to keep a stock on hand but typically sell them faster than we can make them.
Cheers, Chris

If you have hardware you would like to fit to this rim send it in and I will do the turning, fitting and drilling for no charge.
