This is an original watercolor image I saw recently at a local San Antonio gallery ( Susan Carlin Art Studio and Gallery.) It was painted and copyright held by Marilyn Moore and her art can be purchased/viewed at http://marilynsbrushwithpaint.blogspot.com This painting was posted on her blog on Jul 17, 2008 and has info about the subject. I asked her permission to post this pic and she told me that the original is sold but that the image is available on note card ($4) and 5X7 print for $29. I've never met Marilyn nor do I have a vested interest in the selling of her art. I only wanted to share this beautiful art with BHO members.

Love it! Good subject matter (what better subject?) and I like her use of light to dark shading and the way it highlights the clothing and the fiddler's beard and bow hand. An accomplished artist, indeed.
Let me add, I've been to your homepage and viewed the photos of your work. You sir, are a wonderful artist! And all the different mediums you work with - charcoal, watercolor, etc. - and so knowledgeable in each. My hat's off to you!

Thanks very much, Ed. Someday I plan to do a few steam train paintings. Just gotta find the time.

A friend of mine and his wife own two steam tractors and like art. Those steam tractors folks are fanatics about those beasts!
And, I agree. I like your stuff, too. Lumpy.

Thanks for your kind words, Brad. Hmmmmmm, steam tractors could be another interesting subject to try.
Cotton-Eyed Joe: Isn't this a wonderful painting? Marilyn did a superb job capturing the essense of these two guys. Her colors are great. Thanks for taking a look.
