Joe asked the other night if I minded him doing a harmony part to my electric arrangement of Waltzing Matilda.

Thanks for that Joe, you really made my day my friend!
I think we might consider a few more if you feel you'd like too
Cheers, Boog

great stuff guys one question joe and i have done a hands (bands) across the water song but as it seems you live in canada boob and joe in england how is the video thing linked up??
Lumpy - Posted - 11/18/2009: 09:31:24
I had to go clean my glasses cause I thought I was seeing double. Ya'll go together like peanut butter and jelly and your music is smoother than frog's hair. That was fab and I hope we get more duets in the future. Pat on the backs to you both. Now, lets see; is that Ian or Joe?

Hi Townz: I sent Joe an mp3, he recorded his part and did the mix. Joe then sent the duet back to me, I made the video (in this case just a still) and put it up on Youtube.

I think you're correct ... it would have been much better if we'd had a couple of glasses of whiskey first

Joe, if you read most of Stringbreakers posts you'll find that he's just a critic with probably no more talent than his criticism, I'd pay no attention to anything the guy says.
alfiedog - Posted - 11/20/2009: 03:52:56
Yep i can't understand these people that make negative comments. They all seem to describe themselves as "Purty Good" profile wise. But never have any Music posted. All i can think is they must be that good they dont want to disclose there awesome pickin to us mere mortals.
grambo65 - Posted - 11/20/2009: 06:42:15
Gents.....Great stuff. Very original sound. Like it lots
Also gents....
Pay no attention to what the critics say... Remember, a statue has never been set up in honor of a critic!
The KIDD - Posted - 11/20/2009: 06:58:52
Yeah Joe Ive counted about 8 PFs' thus far that all fit the same PF... ..I checked the archives on these guys and like serial killers, they all share the same distinguishing characteristics. The "tone" use in their posts looks like they could be wrtten by the same person. ..Yeah Boog and Joe, Id take it as a complement cause it seems these guys respond like this ONLY to posts that get the attention this one has.If I give a less than favorable critique, Ill give my own reasons why in detail always intending to be constructive. Yeah, what a person says and doesnt say tells ALOT about who they are on here. The proof is in the archives.
joemac - Posted - 11/20/2009: 08:14:59
Thanks John, sorry i got a bit shirty guys but these type of people do my head in, its all just about sharing my love of banjo with my friends, once again, sorry guys.

... Hey there Joe, I was playing nice ... maybe I should have had those 2 glasses of Scotch before I penned a reply This is Joe's and my first cyberjam, and although we take it seriously, this one was for fun, and Joe's arrangement and playing are really fine. When I move to Scotland (now in the spring of 2010) I'm hoping to spend time with Joe so we can do some serious work and recording. Cheers, Boog
townz - Posted - 11/20/2009: 08:42:44
good luck to you in scotland, you really can look forward too playing with joe , we played in a band for 4 years beautiful music beautiful man ,by the way we did the same with the mp3. on a sing i wrote ,worked real fine , be lucky.

My thanks to John as well! Joe, you have nothing to be sorry for!
muntjac - Posted - 11/20/2009: 09:05:47
Joe you should not be apologising. Boog moving to Scotland? such a wonderfull place, my own heart is also there.
Laurence Diehl - Posted - 11/20/2009: 09:06:06
Stringbreakers comment was just plain silly, but I think guys like him are just trying to get attention, since they don't have any kind of constructive critic. Best ignored I think.
townz - Posted - 11/20/2009: 11:12:53
i hate to make even more noise out of this but i guess this dude (string breaker) is sitting rubbing his hands together over all the attention he is getting so lets ignore him and not play at his game guys, just pity the place he writes for!!, have a wonderful weekend. guys

I always enjoy listening to Joe and Boog's music, so I was delighted when you put up a collaborative effort. Great stuff. Very tastefully done on both sides of the pond.

Joe may play a lot of Kruger's music, but if Jens really wants to enjoy his music he should be listening to Joe playing it.
By the way Joe I really like Your singing.
